SOOOO. Chapter 5. Pretty boring. Not much drama. Mainly a filler. But enjoy it!
"Mommy! Is that my brother in there? Why did you eat it?"
I tried to restrain myself from laughing, his mind was still too innocent, which is always a good thing, considering he will be 5 soon!
"Momma didn't eat him sweety. But why don't you go upstairs, and go sleep in the bed so the grown ups can discuss some stuff. Ok?"
He slowly trudged upstairs, trying to listen in on our conversation of murder, but exhaustion got the better of him and he passed out in the bed.
Soon after I was left alone downstairs with Carson (who decided that he was indeed staying over that night) when Heidan went upstairs shortly after.
In the morning I was awoken by Prince Rosen and Carson arguing.
"Look, Rosen, I know I'm not your dad, but I still helped take care of you most of your life!"
"Yeah, thats right! Your not my dad! And you will never be! So stop trying to boss me around and act like your supposed to be taking care of me!" His eyes brimmed with tears as he ran up the stairs and hid into the bathroom.
When I came downstairs after a failure of an attempt to get Rosen out of the bathroom, I found Carson acting like nothing has ever happened.
I walked over to him, very angry. You will not make my son upset like that.
"Carson. We need to talk. You made Rosen cry. How could you do that? He is only 4 years old and your already ruining his childhood!"
"Woah, I won't go to that far of a stretch. I just asked him to brush his teeth. Didn't know that was acting fatherly." Carson said this with a care-free attitude and it pissed me off. I walked away rolling my eyes leaving him to drinking his coffee.
Even if Carson was over frequently, Heidan never kept our romance a secret. He would constantly flirt with me, in front of Carson. I couldn't tell if it annoyed him, but it probably did...
It was soon around the time of my due date. The kicks were getting stronger, and my belly was growing wider. For some reason Carson always had a secret fascination with my baby bump. I would never admit this to anyone, but it was adorable, and I knew he would make a great father.
As for Rosen in this Golden Age, it was anything but. He had become more quiet. Always seemed to lock himself in the bathroom when the attention wasn't focused on him.
One day when Carson was around (when isn't he?) he looked at me with a sign of... remorse? Frustration? Depression? I could hardly tell anymore. I was flattered that he was possibly still in love with me, but all the feelings had burned down to a cold piece of coal.
During the last couple weeks I spent my time faffing around and really hardly did anything.
Cleaning the shower seemed silly, but it was anything to pass the time. We hadn't discussed Heidan's murder for a while now, but I wanted to know who stole his life away from him.
It was one cold night, me and Heidan were snuggling up against each other for warmth when a terrible pain ripped through my body.
When I woke with a sudden fright, Heidan did as well, and starting getting really nervous. He wasn't here the first time around, so this was defintely new to him.
Labor was something that I really hated.
We had come back home with baby Theo. We decided it was best if Heidan stayed with me in the delivary room rather than Carson, due to, our special circumstances.
When it was time for Theo's birthday Carson was the one to bring him to the cake.
Everyone was filled with joy as the happiness radiated throughout the house.
Especially Rosen. After Theo was born Rosen was definitely more active.
And boy, could he look more like his father?
It was one awkward morning when I declared to Carson, "I don't think you will be coming to this house anymore." Of course he choked on his food as anyone would do after hearing the news. But I quickly briefed him that our house was too small and how Rosen didn't even have his own bed.
I decided to take Theo around to look at houses around the town. We found a beautiful one.
It was huge! But we couldn't decide if it was in our price range our not.
"Heidan, could you please stop dancing for once maybe so we can talk about our financial issues? You and I both don't have a job, all of our money is basically draining with the kids... I don't know if we could move."
Of course hearing this news Heidan had to stop his terrible dancing to discuss this like somewhat mature adults.
But over hearing the news Carson decided to barge into the conversation...
"Listen, Rose. I know I told you I moved out, but whats the point of that if I am always here? How about I move in with you, Heidan, Rosen, and Theo, I could help financially, AND I could spend so much more time with Theo!"
I was a little hesitant to accept his offer, but he did have a point. He was always here anyways, and he could see Theo 24/7
And thus we moved. But it was late and exploring the house seemed silly at the time we got all packed. We fell asleep, filled with exhaustion.
